The Candlelight Festival is an annual holiday experience that invites you to come and explore the seasonal transformation of downtown Port Hope. Aligning with the government’s mandate to maintain physical distancing efforts, the 2020 Port Hope Candlelight Festival will be modified to include both virtual and self-guided exploration activities this year. As such, the marketplace is going virtual and the Candlelight and park lighting ceremony have been cancelled. To kick-off the holidays, this year's Candlelight Festival invites you to shop local, explore the light display in Memorial Park and art installations in Lent Lane. Take a free carriage ride in our beautifully decorated downtown (on select days), check out the Captiol Theatre's Festival of Trees and stay active all throughout the season with a series of festive activities that can safely be done both at-home and around town!
