Event Details:
To initiate Port Hope Branch 30's Poppy Campaign, Legion members and volunteers will, at 10:00 a.m. on October 25th, join Port Hope Mayor Olena Hankivsky for a photo op at the Cenotaph in Port Hope's Memorial Park on Queen Street to provide our Mayor the first poppy from Brigadier General G.H. Ralston.
The poppy flag will be raised for the duration of the 2024 Poppy Campaign, which ends with our annual Remembrance Day Ceremony on the morning of November 11th, also in Memorial Park.
Everyone is invited to support the 2024 Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Campaign to highlight the importance of wearing a poppy, a long-standing symbol of remembrance and sacrifice in honour of our Veterans and serving members.
