St John's Anglican Church (33 Pine Street North, Port Hope) is hosting a Legacy Planning Workshop from 9 to Noon on November 12 in the parish hall. If you have questions about such issues as preparing a will or power of attorney. making pre-need funeral arrangements, issues around financial planning and estate transfer, or charitable giving, 4 local experts (Melissa Allison of Allison Funeral Home, Jason Schmidt of Schmidt Law Legal Services, Adam Bainbridge of Edward Jones Financial and Canon Jesse Parker of St. John's) will be on hand to help. The event is open to everyone. There is no charge and snacks and tea and coffee will be served.
