Event Details:

A seasonal sanctuary for all fish species has been established by the Province of Ontario in the Ganaraska River from September 1 to October 14.

This protected area runs from the south side of the Jocelyn Street Bridge to the CNR bridge (the first rail bridge north of Lake Ontario).

Also, as a reminder, no fishing is allowed from Highway 401 downstream to the south side of Jocelyn Street Bridge in the area of the year-round sanctuary. Fishing is permitted year-round from the south side of the CNR bridge to Lake Ontario.
