In 1982 Forst Bathing was deemed an official wellness practice in Japan. The health benefits of Forest Bathing are not recognized globally.
This introductory workshop, held in partnership with The Community Health Centres of Northumberland, is held in a classroom setting.
In this class you will learn:
- The health benefits of spending time in nature
- The science behind how the forest is able to support our physical and mental health
- How to practice Forest Bathing
For real life practice, we also invite you to join The Community Health Centres of Northumberland to practice two in person guided forest walks. You may register for these by calling Pam Chapman at (905) 885-2626 ext.253
Practical Forest Walk Dates:
- Thursday October 9th, 2025 from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm in Port Hope (venue to be confirmed).
- Thursday October 23rd, 2025 from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm at 700 William Street
