Event Details:

The 85th annual Port Hope Santa Claus Parade is scheduled for November 27, 2021. A cavalcade of festive sights and sounds, featuring marching bands and floats from local businesses, clubs and community groups, will make its way through the streets of Port Hope.  The parade will travel east along the: Ridout Street, Walton Street, Queen Street. The Parade kicks off at the top of the parade route (intersection of Ridout and Bramely) at 1:00 p.m. sharp.  Please note road closures will be in effect (along the parade route) starting at 12:00 p.m. Roads will be opened directly following the parade at approximately 2:15 p.m.. Please do not park at bagged meters. There are free parking lots located throughout the downtown. Local transit will be running and residents are encouraged to walk to viewing locations along the route, where possible. All spectators are asked to wear masks and spread themselves out along the the 1.2km route. Spectators are encouraged to pack supplies (snacks, water, extra mittens!) to help make the waiting experience a little more enjoyable. The parade is rain, snow, or shine.  If you're so inclined you can non-perishable food items, and/or an unwrapped toy, which will all be colleced along the route.  For more information visit: www.porthopesantaclausparade.ca.
