The Candlelight Festival is a part of the holiday kick-off weekend in Port Hope. Taking place the day before the annual Santa Claus Parade, folks are invited to explore Port Hope and experience the magic of the holiday season at night.

The Candlelight Festival includes an illuminated procession and carol sing down Port Hope's main street, lighting of the bandshell, live music, projection art, an outdoor market, festive food and moonlight shopping!

The Walk will begin at Walton & Pine Streets (155 Walton St.) at 6:00pm. Bring your singing voice and participate in the group carol sing along the route. Participants are invited to bring their own light source to carry (a lantern, candle with protective windshield, battery operated candle or flashlight). Some flame candles will be available at the start of the walk, while supplies last. Participants are also invited to being a donation of a non-perishable food item.

Following the Walk, indulge in a cup of hot cider in Memorial Park and help us light up the Park for the season with a countdown. At 7:00pm, there will be a live ice carving demonstration and taffy pulling in Memorial Park.

Want to start your holiday shopping? Head up to Lent Lane to explore the outdoor market where you will find a variety of homespun products and gifts. And be sure to explore every block and event shop in the downtown for Block Friday Moonlight Madness - a downtown shopping and dining extravaganza on November 29. 

Looking for more live music and outdoor fun? Visit the Little Station House in Lent Lane to pick up a ginger bread kit, the John Street Linger Zone (behind the old Walton Hotel) for marshamallow roasting, ornament decorating and live music (music starting at 8:00 p.m.)

The Knights of Columbus Hall will be open as a warming room from 4-9pm - drop in to warm up and say hello to members of the Port Hope Rotary Club.
